By entering into the streets of the medina (old city) feel that the time recedes : the guild structure is still present in the work , its narrow streets allows no other transportation than donkeys and a constant swarm of people move the labyrinthine alleys through which we were surprised neighborhoods such as Andalusians and magnificent mosques and Koranic schools. Fez has always been associated with the study and religiosity , and remains the spiritual capital of Morocco. Overnight at Riad.
In the morning after breakfast we will leave Fez towards desert and pass through Ifran City which is looked on as the (“Switzerland of Morocco”) as Moroccans call it. Then we will visit Azrou forest which is full of aromatic cedar trees and where Barbary macaque monkeys known as “Magots” are located. We will stop for a few minutes to take some pictures of the monkeys before we head to Midelt City along the wonderful hills and mountains of the Middle Atlas Mountains. After Midelt we will cross Tizi Ntlghamt path and Ziz Gorge, and while you pass the Tizi Ntlghamt you will notice how the landscape and nature change the nearer you get to Errachidia city. You will see dry land and enter the oasis and veldts world. Afterwards; you will travel along the Ziz Valley, and stop to admire the panoramic sights along the road and take some pictures. Afterwards, we pass through the small cities of Erfoud and Rissani. After Erfoud and Rissani we will travel directly to Merzouga which is about 30 Km from Rissani and we will arrive in the evening. Here you will have tea before riding camels with professional camel man and stay in Berber tents in the middle of the dunes and enjoy your dinner under the moon and stars.
After you see the sunrise, the camel man will bring you back to your hotel where you can shower and have breakfast. Then we will return to Rissani and you will visit an old market which sells unique handcrafts, clothes and dates. Then we will leave to the highest narrowest Gorge of Morocco (GORGE TODGHA). After Gorge Todgha we will head to Bomalane Dades and we will discover valley of Dades and its majestic and amazing rock structure called the (“Monkeys Toes”). Overnight stay in Gorde Dades.
After breakfast in hotel in the Gorge Dades we will drive to Ouarzazate and pass through Skoura oasis with its authentic Kasbahs, and then Ouarzazate, which is known as the “Hollywood of the Desert” and of Morocco. Sightseeing in Quarsazate you will see a Taourirt Kasbah which is the Kasbah of former Caid Thami El Glaou where many films have been shot in the Atlas Studios. After Ouarzazate we will drive to the fortified village and Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou which is under UNESCO World Heritage Site. After Ait Ben Haddou we will travel directly to Marrakesh by crossing through the bends of Tizi Ntichka in the High Atlas Mountains. After the Tizi Ntichka bends we will enter Marrakesh town at evening.
Full day will be spent in Marrakesh City with a local guide starting with famous square of Jamaa el Fna, which dwells an array of food, local musicians, and fortune tellers. Then we will visit Bahia Palace, Saadian Tomb and the Koutoubia minaret, before enjoying your free time in the souks. Overnight stay in riad/hotel.
